Some honorable mentions for students who did exceptional work are Ethel Rodriguez who contributed most of the art, Talley Barber who made jewelry, like rings and bracelets, and Kaylee Gillotti who made homemade dog treats. Celina Battle, the founder of the SPCA of Tennessee, attended and participated in the auction; students met her and learned about the SPCA.
Before this year, LaVergne's FFA was not very active due to lack of student involvement, this year however, the club is thriving due to many students helping and participating in events. A personal goal of the chapter advisor, Angayla Maxwell, is to increase agricultural literacy among students. Moving forward the LaVergne FFA is hoping to continue to be active in the community, continue to partner with the SPCA of TN, and participate in competitions.
